Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim May See Limited Release, More Special Than Slim
Remember when I told you guys that we might be thinking about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim wrong? Well, a new report from PhoneArena certainly adds credibility to that perspective. They are reporting that a trusted source has informed them that the S25 Slim, if that is its real name, won’t see a typical launch. Surprisingly, it might not even be released in the US, much like the Z Fold SE.
Here are the 39 countries where this phone is rumored to be released:
Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Caucasus, Croatia, Egypt, France, India, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Libya, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia/Montenegro, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.
For those not in the know, the rumored Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is generating buzz primarily for its thin profile, measuring just 6.4mm. This makes it a decent amount slimmer than the Galaxy S24 Ultra (8.6mm). Alongside that thickness reduction, we should also be getting a large display somewhere around 6.7 to 6.8 inches, with minimal bezels, a solid triple camera setup with a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP telephoto lens and the new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with 12GB of RAM.
Now, with the potential there for a limited launch and the device.. let’s face it.. not being that much thinner, the idea that this thing could be another Special Edition type device makes a lot of sense. We had this Tweet from Evan Blass that continues to line up better and better with time. It might be time to stop calling it the Slim and start calling it the Special Edition. A testing of the waters on a slightly better Plus mode.
We know the S25 lineup is set to be unveiled on January 22nd with a launch soon after, but it looks like the Slim won’t make that event. Instead, SmartPrix is reporting that the Slim will be arrive sometime around May of 2025. There’s a chance it’ll be shown at the January event.
