Oppo Find N5 Insane Thickness Revealed, Photo Leaks

Another day, another set of Oppo Find N5/OnePlus Open “leaks.” Once again, today’s topic is primarily thickness, or perhaps we should say thinness.. Oppo's aiming for a mind-blowing 4.xmm thickness when unfolded. To put that into perspective, Senior VP of Oppo Zhou Yibao dropped a video showing the Find N5 being compared to everyday objects. We're talking stacks of ID cards, coins, and even a pile of sticky notes!

Based on these comparisons, it seems the Find N5 will indeed be incredibly thin. Currently, the title of "thinnest foldable" belongs to the Honor Magic V3, which measures 4.35mm unfolded. We can also notice from this that this device seems to be maintaining the almost gunmetal finish of the last gen devices, despite the image Yibao shared just yesterday on Weibo. It’s possible that we’re looking at two different finishes for two different colors.

Real World Photo?

While I can’t track down it’s original source, we do have this image that has also been making the rounds this morning. What it allegedly shows is the Find N5 inside a protective case meant to disguise the device. We can see though that the camera layout is a bit different that what we saw shown in renders a few days back by SmartPrix. These renders were provided by Yogesh Brar & Chunvn if you’re keeping score. The volume rocker and power button also seem to be slightly different in terms of location, throwing that entire report into question.

One good reason to think this image is the real deal would be that camera layout and how closely it matches the OnePlus 13. If it’s a fake, it’s a great looking fake.

Unfortunately, several other key details came from that same article, so we now must question their veracity as well - again if we’re assuming this photo is the Find N5. They quoted 16GB RAM, an 8'“ inner display, 6.4” cover display, 5,900mAh battery, 80w charging and 50w wireless charging. I would now put these things back into the maybe, maybe not category until we hear from someone else.

Or we just wait for February when these devices will be unveiled.
